Account Information
Students have 24/7 access to their student account information through the Finances App in Workday.
To view your up-to-date account information online:
- Log into Workday
- Click Menu
- Go to the Finances App
- Click on View Statement
To print a statement from your account:
- Log into Workday
- Click Menu
- Go to the Finances App
- Click on View Statement
- Select Academic Period
- Click PDF
In addition to tuition and fees, you may see charges from other services, such as Housing, Meal Plan, Akron All in Book Bundle or Course Fees. You can learn more about those fees here Tuition & Fee Information in Detail | Tuition Estimator
If you notice financial aid funds missing from your account, please verify the following:
If your financial aid wasn't awarded...
- Did you complete the FASFA for the appropriate aid year?
- If not, complete a FAFSA.
- If selected, complete the verification process.
- Are you maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)?
- Do you have an outstanding requirement on your account?
- Visit the Office of Student Financial Aid website for more information.
If your University of Akron scholarship did not pay to your account…
- Are you enrolled in 12 credit hours or more at the University of Akron (including all online courses)? You must meet the enrollment criteria.
- If it is a renewing scholarship...
- Did you complete at least 12 credit hours at the University of Akron in spring and fall of the previous academic year?
- Did you meet the GPA requirement for the scholarship?
Electronic Billing (eBill)
Knowing the published eBill dates will help you plan and stay on top of your college expenses. You can review the published e-Bill dates for upcoming semesters under our payment dues dates.
To view your up-to-date account information online:
- Log into Workday
- Click Menu
- Go to the Finances App
- Click on View Statement
A person other than the student may have the ability to make a payment, view account activity and view student statement as a Third-Party User. Students may follow these steps to create a Third-Party user in Workday.
- Login to Workday
- Select Profile Icon (upper right corner)
- Select View Profile
- Select Contacts
- Select Friends and Family and Click Add
- Complete required fields and check box for Third Party User
- After entering information, click Done and return to Contacts screen
- Scroll over to Actions and click Manage Permissions
- Grant individual permissions-check the tasks granting permission
- The parent/third party receives login instructions at the email provided by the student
Once a Third-Party User account is created, students can remove access at any time and resend payer invitations. No University of Akron staff can make changes to the Third-Party User account or reset their password.
Payment Information
We have several ways for you to make payments. Learn more about payment options.
How to Make a Payment in Workday
- From your Menu within Workday, click the Finances app.
- To add the Finances app, click Add Apps, then enter Finances in the search bar. Click the plus sign to add the Finances app to your menu, then click Back to Menu.
- Click Make a Payment
- Select Student Online Payment in the Payment Description field.
- Enter the desired amount in the Payment Amount field (accept suggestion or enter a different amount).
- Click OK.
- Click the Confirm Checkbox.
- Click OK.
- Wait for the page to load.
- Select the Payment Method you would like to use for your payment (credit/debit card or bank account).
- Enter your payment information, then click the checkbox next to I agree (only applies if you are entering your bank account information).
- Once you have entered your payment method information, click Continue.
- Enter your email address.
- Click Pay (Payment Amount).
- “Upon submitting your payment, click Sign out. You will then be routed back to Workday”.
