Professional & Academic Experience

Jimmy Paskell transferred to the University of Akron in 2011 from California, where he grew up, and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Business. He is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Butfor, an insurtech software platform that automates the preparation of catastrophic and complex business interruption (BI) claims.

Prior to founding Butfor, Jimmy spent a decade as a forensic accounting consultant at a boutique firm in Solon, where he conducted extensive forensic reviews of accounting data and developed complex financial models to calculate economic damages in a wide range of BI claims.

Jimmy currently resides in Cleveland but frequently spends time at his property in Big Bear, CA, where he enjoys skiing and hiking. In his free time, he also enjoys working out and playing sports.
